Designed for mining teams to effectively plan and monitor hole-related tasks within a Plan. This tool tracks the different configurable stages in the lifecycle of a hole, from pre-drilling preparation to post-drilling analysis and reporting. Hole Task Manager provides you with a streamlined, visual system for managing and monitoring tasks to ensure that all activities are in their appropriate status and nothing is overlooked.

Task Sequencing for Each Division

  • Each division (at the lowest child level) will have the ability to define and manage the sequence of tasks specific to their responsibilities.

Hole Task Manager will be accessible from the Plan Detail page.
Scroll down to the Holes table, and click on the Hole Task Manager button at the top right of the table:

You will now see all the holes related to that particular Plan. You can also change between plans from this page by selecting a different plan in the drop down.

In the table you can sort and filter on Hole, Contract, Project and Drill Priority. Each cell for Hole, Contract or Project is a link to go directly to those pages if needed. Click on a hole to open the Hole Detail page in a new tab to reference for details. 

Configuring Your Tasks:

When you navigate to the Hole Task Manager page for the first time you will need to configure the hole-related tasks that are specific for your company/division.
To do that click on “Configurations” button Hole Task Manager Config button and begin adding your tasks:Hole Task Manager Config modal initial

Here you can add all of the relevant tasks, click and drag the order up/down using the re-order icon in the first column on the left:

Hole Task Manager Config modal with dataThe pre-set activity of Drilling appears in the table and you can order tasks around it, this task is there by default and its status will be determined by the Hole status and DSR's received against that hole. You can also set the Initial Status and Activate/De-Activate each task.


Status selections:

  • N/A (Not-Applicable)
  • Not Started
  • Optional
  • In-Progress
  • Done
  • Blank (to show nothing in the field)

The Drilling status column will be automatically updated to reflect the status of the Hole as either Planned, Active or Complete. Underneath the status you will see a progress bar which is a visual indicator that reflects the progress of the drilling, this information comes from submitted Daily Shift Reports as the data comes in compared to the planned depth.

Tip: When you see the progress bar is full, you may want to verify if the hole is actually complete with it’s drilling and follow-up by marking the hole as "Complete". Click on the Hole Name to take you to the Hole Detail page in a new tab to review details.

You may also see a depth reading under the status to indicate what depth has last been recorded as a max depth from DSR records.

Bulk Edit:

If you wish to make a status change to a group of holes rather than one at a time, select the holes of interest with the checkboxes, then click on the Bulk Edit button.

Select the task you’d like to update and the corresponding status. Click “Apply” and make more changes as necessary, then “Save & Close”. “Cancel” will exit out of the modal, but will keep the changes that have already been applied.
