Directional Drilling Run Data Collection
Note: for more information on managing Directional Runs within KruxMetrix click here.
Once a Drill Type is set up in KruxMetrix as "Directional", you will be able to use the Directional Runs functionality within KruxLog.
Add an activity of "Drilling":
Add Type, Hole and Bit data, then click on "Add Run":
You will be prompted with Sliders.
Slider 1:
Mandatory fields:
- Depth From (this will be auto-populated but you may override this value)
- Depth To
Optional fields:
- Start/End Time
- Pumping Duration
- Pulling Duration
Calculated fields (units are set in Preferences):
- Drilling Duration
- Rate of Penetration
Slider 2 (optional fields):
- Weight on Bit
- RPM
- Torque
- Water Flow
- Water Pressure
Slider 3 (optional fields):
- DogLeg Setting
- Dial Indication
- CCG (Core Lifter Casing Groove)
- Toolface BD (Before Drilling)
- Toolface AD (After Drilling)
- Inclination BD (Before Drilling)
- Inclination AD (After Drilling)
Slider 4 (optional fields):
- End Reason
- Comments
You may Save and return to the Drilling activity or you may Save & Add New to add another directional run.
Back in the Activity form once the Directional Run is saved you have the ability to Edit and you can view the details of each Run by expanding/collapsing the run cards.
Review and complete the report then Submit.
Once the DSR has been completed and submitted, the data will be accessible in KruxMetrix 2.0 (the new version release).
